On the last day of the 8th Provincial Chapter from May 30 to June 4, 2019, Fr. Rollin Flores, SSP was officially installed as new Provincial Superior of the Society of St. Paul Philippine-Macau Province by the Superior General, Fr. Valdir José de Castro, SSP, at the Sanctuary of St. Paul, Makati City. Also installed and completing the new Provincial Government are his duly elected councilors Fr. Dominador Guzman, Jr. SSP, Fr. Ludovico Tacdoro, Jr., SSP, Fr. Angelo Paolo Asprer, SSP, and Fr. Andres Inting, SSP.

In his homily, Fr. de Castro reiterated the importance of mission rooted in communication to God, to self, and to the community, creating communion and a more profound witness of the Gospel.

For his part, Fr. Flores in a poignant sharing narrated how he received the news of his appointment. From an initial no the new provincial superior was reminded of the meaning of his priesthood as something not be lived on his own terms but for God and others.

At the conclusion of the Mass the Superior General made a final surprise announcement: four members to be sent abroad for studies. Fr. Dindo Purto, SSP and Fr. Reymel Ramos, SSP to Brazil and newly professed juniors Cl. Leonard Bryan Cabatingan and Cl. Jerome Ypulong to Rome.

Present in the celebration were representatives from the Pauline Family, family members and friends of the Father Provincial, and various other friends and collaborators of the Congregation.
