On June 12, 2024, Independence Day of the Philippines, three aspirants entered the Postulancy Program of the SSP Philippines-Macau Province. The rite of entrance, presided by Provincial Superior Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite, was done at 11 o’clock in the morning at the chapel of SSP Pampanga community which serves as the House of Postulants. Present were members of the community and a small delegation from SSP Makati and Silang, Cavite.

The new Postulants are Resty T. Aballe, Jr., 22 years, from Lubang, Occidental Mindoro; Klyde Chelsor E. Eucacion, 23 years, from Igbaras, Iloilo; and Jude F. Lope, 23 years, from Banton, Romblon. Resty and Jude graduated from St. Paul Seminary last May while Klyde took a year regency after graduation.

In his address to the candidates before the formal entrance, the Provincial Superior underlined two words used by Jesus that mark their vocation: COME and GO. They are invited by the Lord to come after him, to learn from him as he announced the Kingdom of heaven. Later, they would be sent to proclaim the Gospel to Israel and the whole world. Fr. Mario also reminded them of “Paulinitas”—their specific identity and charism.

To mark their entry, the new Postulants were given the SSP distinctive or trademark. Fr. Mario then entrusted them to the Formator of Postulants, Fr. Jerome Palma, with the assurance of the support of the whole SSP Province. Afterwards, the community celebrated the occasion with a festive lunch at the community refectory. The visitors who came to “send off” the three brave young men to their new home bade a moving adieu.
