In the afternoon of June 2, 2024, in the course of the Eucharistic celebration on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, Novice Julius Carl Ramasta pronounced his First Religious Profession in the Society of St. Paul. The concelebrated Mass at the Sanctuary of St. Paul in Makati was presided by Fr. Khris Emmanuel Llacer, Formator of the Juniors, and the homily was given by Fr. Jerome Palma, Formator of Postulants. The vows were received by the Provincial Superior Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite. In his homily, Fr. Jerome shared some memorable experiences especially when Julius was a Postulant in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Family members and friends of Julius Carl came for the occasion, attended also by members of the Pauline Family.
The highlight of the ceremony was the profession of vows and the giving of the religious habit to the neo-professed, the Bible, and the SSP Constitutions.
In his message to neo-professed, Superior General Don Domenico Soliman said: “The day you have chosen for your religious profession is also very significant: the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ. May this be for you a true program of life: to nourish yourself everyday with Jesus the Master, Way, Truth, and Life, and to be nourished by his Body and his Blood, by his Word, in order to prepare yourself to proclaim him with your life, and with all languages of communication.”
In his words of thanks, Julius Carl thanked his parents, his formators, and the SSP communities where he spent stages of his formation itinerary. In his final remark, Fr. Mario share that Julius’ parents told him that they were giving their son totally for the work of the congregation and for this he thanked them graciously. He announced that Julius Carl’s apostolic assignment is in St Pauls Audiovisuals and Diffusion Department.
The community then proceeded to the Alberione Hall for supper and fellowship.
Cleric Julius Carl, 26 years old, hails from City of Cabuyao, Laguna. He entered St. Paul Seminary as aspirant in 2015 and graduated in 2019. After a period of regency, he entered Postulancy in 2022 and the Novitiate the following year. As a Junior, he will be based in Makati for his studies in Theology.
