Carisma 2014The "Nature and scope of the Course" of the statute of the Course of Charism, renewed in June 2010, states: "The Course of Formation on the Charism of the Pauline Family" is a programme of theoretical and experiential studies of the charismatic heritage of Blessed Fr. James Alberione, understood in the multiplicity and in the unity of the Institutions he founded which constitute the Pauline Family (PF). As part of experience, which has now become a tradition, in the month of March, the 24 participants went to visit the Generalate of the Generals Government of the Pauline Family.

It was at the Daughters of St Paul that we began this programme of meeting and sharing on 3rd March. In that afternoon, Superior General Sr. Annamaria Parenzan, FSP and the General Councillors explained to us the challenges and the commitments which their last General Chapter set for the next six years, a journey of continuity in a programme of redesigning. On 6th March, again in the afternoon, Sr. M. Regina Cesarato, Superior General of the PDDM and her Councillors, besides describing their preparation for the next Council of Institute (commonly called Interchapter), have made us participants of the news on video, which is at its conclusive phase, which describes the life of Mother Scholastica; Sr. Regina also spoke to us about her experience as President of USMI and on the reality of Consecrated Life. With great enthusiasm, on 17 March, we are welcomed by Sr. Marina Beretti, Superior General of the Apostoline Sisters and the community of the sisters of Castelgandolfo. In the morning, the sharing was focused on the challenges of youth, inviting us to live our vocation following the signs of the times. On 24th March, in the auditorium of the Generalate of the Society of St Paul, Fr. Silvio Sassi, Superior General of the SSP motivated us to live the year as a precious opportunity for a deeper study of Charism, thanks to the richness of its contents and different perspectives, and as a synthesis which brings us to live fully our apostolate today. The experience of the visits came to a conclusion on 31st March at the Good Sheperd Sisters. The Superior General Sr Marta Finotelli, SJBP, projected a video with which she presented the identity of the Pastorelle when it was founded and then spoke to us about the programme that the General Government is carrying out at present.

This experience of meeting is an opportunity for the participants to know concretely the situation of the Pauline Family; in this way, we love it more and live in a better way our being in the Church.
