Saturday, July 20th will go down in the history of the Society of St Paul as Br Shinto Joseph was ordained deacon by His Grace Most Rev. Dr Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the Bangalore community. Paulines from different communities, and friends and well wishers participated in the celebration.
The Archbishop giving the holy Bible to Rev. Shinto said, “believe what you read, teach what you believe, and practice what you teach”. The melodious singing by the juniors and aspirants added colour to the celebration. The newly ordained deacon was congratulated and felicitated after the Eucharistic celebration. A short video presentation on Rev. Shinto was also screened. The celebration ended with a fellowship meal.
